Jalen Green ruled out vs. Hawks as precautionary measure for right hamstring

Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green left Friday night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks in the first quarter and has been ruled out (precautionary right hamstring) for the remainder of the game.

Green came off the bench and played four minutes in the first quarter, going 1 for 3 from the field and a perfect 2 for 2 at the free-throw line for four points. He also grabbed a rebound and logged an assist.

Green left the first quarter with 2:12 remaining and was not seen on the bench.

Friday was just Green’s second game back from his right hamstring strain, which had kept him out since Nov. 8. The Suns guard played 19 minutes on Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers, contributing 12 points, two rebounds and three assists in the Suns’ win.

Green has now played in just four games (Nov. 6, Nov. 8, Jan. 20 and Jan. 23) for Phoenix this season, as he’s dealt with his lingering hamstring injury.
