The transfer window warmed up for Liverpool on Friday as it emerged talks were underway for a possible move for Andy Robertson. The Scotland international could be on his way to Tottenham with little over a week remaining of the transfer window.

Robertson is out of contract come the summer, in addition to Ibrahima Konate, and could now bring in a fee for the Reds if they reach an agreement with Spurs. The defender's immediate exit did not necessarily tally with Arne Slot's assessment of the final days of the market, but Robertson has fallen behind Milos Kerkez in the pecking order.

"That is what I expect," Slot admitted when asked if the window would pass without major activity. "But I always say when there is an opportunity in the market where we think we can strengthen the squad this club will always try to do so. But at this moment I expect it to stay mainly the same."

Robertson replacement

Liverpool are looking at bringing Kostas Tsimikas back from his loan at Roma, according to talkSPORT. The Greek defender's return would allow Andy Robertson to join Tottenham..

There is said to be no recall clause in his loan deal, however, and talks are set to 'accelerate' in order to terminate the move. Tsimikas joined Roma on a season-long loan after Milos Kerkez arrived at Liverpool in the summer.

The full-back has made 16 appearances across all competitions for Roma and it is reported he is keen to return to Anfield.

Saudi targets

Mo Salah is among the Saudi Pro League's huge 50-player shortlist as they look to attack the transfer market this summer.

The division is looking to strengthen its ranks once again, having already drawn Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Neymar and Sadio Mane since 2022. Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior are all being eyed.

Salah is being targeted by Al-Hilal, Neom and Al-Qadsiah but Liverpool have told them that the Egyptian won't be sold in January. Saudi Pro League sporting director Michael Emenalo is said to have a long-standing relationship with Salah and would be the driving force behind any move.

Joe Gomez wanted

Reds defender Joe Gomez is a target for AC Milan and the Rossoneri are holding out hope that Liverpool will allow a last-minute deal, per Calciomercato. The 28-year-old is said to be a figure that appeals to manager Massimiliano Allegri.

Milan are chasing a new central defender but could yet persist with Koni De Winter after being impressed by his progress. The Serie A giants' interest in Gomez is longstanding, however, as they look to improve their backline.
