Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis has reportedly already begun light on-court work with the team as he continues his recovery process from his hand injury.
Dallas Mavericks star big man Anthony Davis reportedly has been progressing well after his hand injury earlier this month.

According to Grant Afseth of the Dallas Hoops Journal, Davis has begun light on-court work since rejoining the team in Dallas.
"Sources told DallasHoopsJournal.com that Davis has begun light on-court work since rejoining the team in Dallas, wearing a protective glove over his left hand,'" Afseth reports.
"With Davis injuring his non-shooting hand, he can work to stay sharp as his left hand heals from a non-surgical approach."

Despite Davis returning to on-court work, the approximate time he will be out remains the same at six weeks, with him definitely missing the entire Mavs schedule until the All-Star break and potentially being set for a return after the All-Star break.
"Given the Jan. 8 injury date, Davis is expected to miss the remainder of the Mavericks' schedule leading into the All-Star break. Dallas resumes play Feb. 20 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, though no firm target date has been established for Davis' return to game action," he adds.
Davis has been limited to just 20 games in this injury-ravaged season with the Mavericks.
In those 20 games, he has been averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.
His frequent inactivity has significantly impacted the Mavs' standing, who currently hold a 19–26 record.
