After a 118-123 loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers, in which Schroder dropped 21 points, he expressed his thought process amid the swirling trade rumors, delivering a very candid response.
"I don't give a f**k about that," Schroder said via The Sacramento Bee. "At the end of the day, I enjoy every single day being in the NBA. I don't take it for granted."
The 32-year-old veteran guard believes the Kings aren't allowing trade rumors to become a distraction, despite half of the team being included in speculation.
"Everybody else in this locker room, they're just going to play," Schroder said. "Nothing is going to change, really."
"You're going to have the same salary. Of course, you're going to have new teammates when something happens, a new organization, but at the end of the day, you're still one of 400 people in the NBA out of eight billion in the world who play this game, and I think everybody should look at it this way," he added.
According to the latest reports, most of the Kings' key players are listed as available in trade talks, with Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Keon Ellis, Malik Monk, and Dennis Schroder all being included.
