Liverpool team confirmed to face AFC Bournemouth.

Andy Robertson is named in Liverpool’s squad to face AFC Bournemouth.

The left-back is on the bench for the Premier League clash despite his uncertain future at the Reds. Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Robertson during this month’s transfer window, in a deal that reportedly could be worth £5 million.

Robertson has made just four league starts this season, having fallen behind Milos Kerkez in the pecking order. It is Kerkez who again features on the left-hand side of defence as he returns to Bournemouth after making a £40 million move last summer.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot makes just change from the team that earned a 3-0 victory over Marseille in the Champions League earlier this week. Hugo Ekitike drops to the bench, with Cody Gakpo - who scored the third goal in stoppage-time - tasked with leading the line.

Ibrahima Konate is absent again as the centre-back has been granted compassionate leave following the passing of his father. It means that Joe Gomez continues alongside Virgil van Dijk in the heart of the defence.

Federico Chiesa has also not received the green light to feature because of a fitness issue. Chiesa was withdrawn from the squad against Marseille despite warming up and was deemed as 50/50 by Slot to be involved on the south coast.

Liverpool: Alisson, Frimpong, Gomez, Van Dijk, Kerkez, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Salah, Szoboszlai, Wirtz, Gakpo.

Subs: Mamardashvili, Woodman, Endo, Jones, Ekitike, Robertson, Nyoni, Ramsay, Ngumoha.
