Morant suffered a UCL sprain in his left elbow during the Grizzlies' home game against the Atlanta Hawks on January 21. The team says he is expected to make a full recovery and will be reevaluated in about three weeks.
This is the latest in a series of injury setbacks for Morant, who has battled injuries throughout much of his NBA career.
He played only two consecutive games after returning from a calf contusion before returning to the injury report.
The timing of the injury also comes amid ongoing speculation about Morant's future with the Grizzlies.
While he has been linked to several teams, Morant has expressed his commitment to Memphis, and the team is reportedly comfortable keeping him through the trade deadline.
Now in his sixth NBA season, Morant is averaging 19.5 points and 8.1 rebounds across 20 games this year.
