Joe Cole fears Enzo Fernandez could have his head turned if Real Madrid try and tempt him away from Stamford Bridge.
Fernandez joined Chelsea from Portuguese giants Benfica for a then club record fee of £106m, and has been at the club for almost three years.
The 25-year-old has won both the Conference League and Club World Cup durning his time in west London, and has established himself as a key player.
Joe Cole shares thoughts on Enzo Fernandez future
Fernandez is thought to be keen to open talks over a new contract at Chelsea, even though his current deal runs until 2031.
Rosenior has stated he’s a big fan of Fernandez, and the World Cup winner has featured in all four of his games so far.

However, Fernandez has been linked with a move to Paris Saint German, but it’s Real Madrid coming in that Cole is fearful of.
“He’s an important player, a real leader in that dressing room,” Cole said as quoted by Metro.
“He’s getting to the age now where he’s going to want to win the big trophies.
“If Real Madrid comes calling for any player, it turns their heads. But it’s massively important that Chelsea keep him. I’m not sure what the price tag would be.
“If this was the Chelsea of 10/15 years ago, you’d say there’s no chance that we’d sell our best players until you absolutely have to. But nowadays I just don’t know.”
