Manchester City moved to within four points of Arsenal with a 2-0 win over Wolves in the Premier League. Omar Marmoush gave the Blues the lead early and City did not look back despite a second-half wobble.
By the break, they were already two goals to the good after neat play from Antoine Semenyo in the box towards the end of the first half. It could have been even better, only for a penalty claim to be turned down by the referee at the monitor after VAR had taken an age.
Wolves caused City problems in the second half, but the full-backs did well and City saw out a clean sheet and a win. Here are the player ratings from The Manchester Evening News.
Donnarumma: Just about dealt with the set-pieces that came his way, although there were a few shaky moments. 6
Nunes: Sound defensively and a terrific cross for the opening goal, showing how City have missed him at both ends. 8
Khusanov: A nice ball over the top for Marmoush for the penalty incident and his no-nonsense defending generally worked. 7
Guehi: A composed debut, happy to launch balls through for Marmoush and dealing calmly with everything at the back. 8
O'Reilly: Much better than recent weeks, getting on the front foot and taking charge of his duels. 7
Rodri: His radar was off for the most part, struggling to dominate the game - especially when Wolves came on strong in the second half. 6
Silva: An all-action performance, from grappling with opponents at set-pieces to drilling the ball to Semenyo for the second goal. 7
Reijnders: Not quite the same impact as his last game against Wolves, there were sparks of a threat but not much more. 6
Semenyo: Took his goal really well to help City take control of the game and could have had two more, even if some of his play was loose. 8
Cherki: Some lazy passes in bad areas that didn't help City, but facing forward he was always looking to create. 7
Marmoush: An excellent volley for the opening goal and was lively throughout, earning fouls as well as chances. 8
