Everton have already employed a fan of bitter rivals Liverpool in recent years.
Conor Coady spent the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Everton despite the fact he supports Liverpool, revealing in 2019: “Everybody knows I supported Liverpool growing up… I look at Liverpool’s results and hope they win games.”
Now, the Toffees could sign another in Harry Wilson.

Harry Wilson reveals he supports Liverpool as Everton attempt to sign the Fulham star
The BBC believe Everton are monitoring Wilson closely as his contract stand-off at Fulham continues.
If Fulham fail to sell the Wales international this month – who they paid £12m to sign from Liverpool in July 2021 – the Cottagers risk losing him for nothing when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Now, just as Wilson could be heading to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, he has revealed his alliance to rivals Liverpool.
The 28-year-old told the Premier League: “I was just playing local football, I used to watch my Dad every Saturday with the local team. Then I had a trial at a centre in Chester with Man United, it was a six-week trial. At the end of that, we were told if it was successful we’d get a call. But the call didn’t come and then a few weeks later a Liverpool scout rang my Dad and said, we believe Harry had a trial at Man United, we’d like to have a look at him.

“My Dad was a Liverpool fan, which meant I was a Liverpool fan, we went to another centre in Chester, I was there a couple of weeks and they decided they wanted to sign me.”
Wilson – who Jurgen Klopp called “sensational” – has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 25 appearances across all competitions so far this season for Fulham.
Several Liverpool stars actually supported Everton
While The Friedkin Group could be about to bring a fan of the Reds to Everton, some of the best to have ever played for Liverpool have supported the Toffees.
Robbie Fowler supported Everton growing up, as did Steve McManaman, Ian Rush, Adam Lallana, Jamie Carragher, Michael Owen and Steve McMahon.

So, while some Everton supporters may not want a Liverpool fan at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, there have clearly been many cases of players swapping sides over the years.
