Manchester City returned to winning ways with a much-needed victory at home to Wolves in the Premier League. City claimed a 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium to close the gap to leaders Arsenal before their clash against Manchester United later this weekend.
Omar Marmoush opened the scoring for City on his first start for the club since his return from the African Cup of Nations with Egypt.
Antoine Semenyo doubled City’s lead with his first Premier League goal for the club since his move from Bournemouth earlier this month, his third in a City shirt after scoring in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup days just after his arrival.
Marc Guehi made his debut for City in the win at the Etihad, having signed for the club from Crystal Palace earlier this week.
City are now four points behind Arsenal in the Premier League table, and will now prepare for an important fixture in the Champions League in midweek against Galatasaray.
