Crawley Town picked up a vital three points at Barrow thanks to a wonder strike from substitute Taylor Richards.
The first half lacked any sort of quality, as both sides struggled to get any efforts. Louis Copley forced a save from Wyll Stanway in the Barrow goal after 5 minutes, and then Barrow’s first effort was from Isaac Fletcher after 41 minutes, but Jacob Chapman was equal to the task to palm it over the bar.
The second half started with a flurry of action, as Barrow thought they had broken the deadlock when Danny Rose slotted home from close range, but he was deemed to be offside on 51 minutes, then Danilo Orsi hit the post from close range at the other end on 54 minutes. Both sides struggled with the wind with clearances and crosses being held up or with too much power.
However, for a game lacking any quality, and as Barrow were piling the pressure on the Crawley goal, Harry Forster found Taylor Richards down the right side, who cut in on his left foot and curled a beautiful shot around Wyll Stanway in the Barrow goal to send the travelling support, and Scott Lindsey into delirium as the Reds secured their first away win of the season.
