MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves game scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Target Center was postponed until Sunday, the NBA announced. The decision was made hours before tip-off.
The news came in the wake of a man being shot to death by federal immigration officers Saturday morning, just a couple of miles away from the Wolves’ home arena.

It was the second fatal shooting involving federal agents this month and came a day after more than 10,000 people took to the streets of the city to protest the presence of the 3,000 federal agents who have been ordered to the state by President Donald Trump.
"The National Basketball Association game scheduled for today between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center has been postponed," the NBA said in a statement on Saturday.
“The decision was made to prioritize the safety and security of the Minneapolis community."
Sunday’s tip time is 4:30 p.m. The Warriors and Wolves will play a back-to-back Sunday and Monday, with both games played in Minneapolis.
