Former Liverpool target Marc Guehi has opened up following his Manchester City debut, offering a candid reflection on his performance and early adaptation at the club.
Gueh i enjoyed a winning start at Manchester City, playing a key role as the Sky Blues secured a 2-0 victory over Wolves. First-half goals from Omar Marmoush and Antoine Semenyo, who scored on his home Premier League debut, sealed all three points at the Etihad Stadium.
Semenyo missed an early opportunity when Guehi, who completed more passes than any other City player with 95, delivered a precise cross-field ball to the winger.
The result extends City’s unbeaten run to 31 Premier League matches against teams starting the day at the bottom of the table.

Speaking to Match of the Day following his debut, Guehi said: "It was OK from my part, I have got a lot of learning to do to get up to speed. There's a lot of details and positioning and certain things but it has been really exciting.
"There's a good mentality about the group, important that the focus is on the next game, making sure we get the win. We need the mentality and the intensity within the side and hopefully we will keep that going."
City boss Pep Guardiola heaped praise on Guehi after Manchester City secured its first Premier League win of 2026. The Spaniard told BBC Match of the Day: "We won against a team who were unbeaten in the last four or five games, so pretty pleased.
"The captain of Crystal Palace has to be something special. Really pleased for him. He is so demanding for ourselves to do better. Good players adapt quick and understand the game, so that's why."

Senior figures at Anfield expressed surprise and disappointment over Guehi’s move but always viewed signing him as a bonus rather than a priority. They were also clear that they had no intention of reopening the deal in the January transfer window.
Liverpool may live to regret that decision, especially with the Reds suffering another defensive setback after Joe Gomez was forced off in the first half against Bournemouth. The England international was replaced by Wataru Endo following a clash with his own goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, as Gomez stretched to block Evanilson from opening the scoring for the hosts.
The Reds' defensive frailties were further emphasized after suffering defeat to Bournemouth. Liverpool struggled defensively in the first half, managing to stay just one goal behind at the break despite mistakes from Virgil van Dijk and Milos Kerkez that allowed Evanilson and Alex Jiménez to score.
