With the signing, the Sixers will now temporarily have 15 players on their current roster.

Bassey reunites with the 76ers after being drafted by the franchise at No. 53 in the 2021 NBA Draft. He spent his rookie season as a Sixer and eventually appeared in the last three seasons with the San Antonio Spurs.

He joined the Memphis Grizzlies and played two games earlier this season after signing a 10-day hardship contract.

Bassey will head to the Sixers out of a dominant stint for the Santa Cruz Warriors. The 25-year-old averaged 17.7 points in 60.2 percent shooting and 11.4 boards in seven games as part of the Golden State Warriors' G League affiliate.

The 76ers are currently sixth in the East with a 24-20 record.
