Arsenal are still dreaming about winning their first league title since 2004 as they lead the Premier League table with 16 matches remaining. Mikel Arteta's squad will be looking to continue their stellar run when they welcome Manchester United to the Emirates Stadium this Sunday.
The Gunners have been firing on all cylinders both at home and in Europe, having recently dispatched Inter Milan with ease. With seven wins from seven in the Champions League, they're all-but guaranteed to top the standings.
This weekend sees them face Michael Carrick's United, who come to north London fresh from a 2-0 derby victory over title rivals, Manchester City, last Saturday. While that result did Arsenal a favour, they couldn't fully capitalise, only managing a goalless draw against relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest the same day.
Despite a flurry of summer signings, it's been a relatively quiet transfer window at the Emirates so far. However, there's no shortage of speculation surrounding potential Arsenal 'targets' - and football.london has rounded up some of the latest rumours below;

Man Utd showdown
Both Arsenal and Man Utd are reportedly interested in Levante forward Karl Etta Eyong.
Caught Offside state the player is drawn to the prospect of linking up with Arteta's side. As one of the globe's elite clubs, Arsenal present an enticing platform for him to realise his full capabilities.
The outlet further notes that Arsenal's consistent challenge for silverware makes them an appealing destination for emerging talent. Eyong has found the net six times in all competitions this campaign.

'Interest' in Real starlet
Arsenal have seemingly received encouragement regarding the rumoured pursuit of Real Madrid youngster Victor Valdepenas.
Recent speculation has positioned Valdepenas as a potential summer target for the Gunners. The 19-year-old made his bow for Real last month and he is held in high regard by the Spanish heavyweights, which could complicate any potential transfer.
Reports indicate a €50million (£44m) release clause has been inserted into his recently penned contract, which runs until 2029.

Meanwhile, Marca, via Football365, suggest Xabi Alonso's departure from Madrid has 'harmed' Valdepenas. The teenager reportedly feels 'deceived' by incoming manager Alvaro Arbeloa, with the Gunners maintaining 'special interest' in his services.
Valdepenas has apparently been presented with opportunities to seek pastures new before the January window closes. Arsenal are understood to be foremost among those vying for his signature.
