Liam Rosenior has revealed he’s been surprised by three things since taking over as Chelsea’s new head coach at the start of the year.
The 41-year-old has penned a six and a half year contract at Stamford Bridge, in what is by far the biggest job of his managerial career to date.
Rosenior has made a good start to life and has overseen three wins in his first four games in charge, but faces a difficult second half of the season.
Liam Rosenior shares what’s surprised him at Chelsea
The team hasn’t looked much different to what was seen under Maresca, but in fairness to Rosenior with so may games there’s been little time to work on things on the training ground.
John Terry has stated he wants to see more from Rosenior over the coming weeks, but the most important thing is he keeps delivering results.

Chelsea have an opportunity to move into the top four with a win against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, after Liverpool lost to Bournemouth on Saturday.
Rosenior is certainly learning on the job, and he was asked if anything had surprised him since arriving from Strasbourg.
“The humility of the group, their willingness to learn, their lack of ego, they’ve been a joy to work with,” he told NBC Sports Soccer.
“The players, the squad, they want to do so well. That’s been biggest.
“The best surprise that I’ve had so far is their engagement in what we’re doing, and it gives me real confidence that we can be successful together.”
Chelsea hopeful Cole Palmer will be fit for Crystal Palace
The last two performances haven’t been the best against Brentford and Pafos, but the Blues were able to find a way to win.
