Liverpool veteran Victor Moses is set for a new chapter in Kazakhstan after signing with Kaisar Kyzylorda in the Kazakh Premier League.

The 35-year-old Nigeria international had been without a club since leaving Luton Town this summer upon the expiration of his contract.

Moses’ move allows him to extend a long and eventful career that has spanned some of Europe’s top leagues. Over the years, he has played for clubs including Chelsea, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Fenerbahce, and Spartak Moscow, contributing to multiple title-winning sides.

On the international stage, Moses has also made his mark, earning 38 caps for the Nigeria national team.

Kaisar Kyzylorda currently sits 11th in the Kazakh Premier League, is winless in its last five matches, and has only one Europa League play-off appearance in its European history.

The club announced Moses’ signing on its Instagram account, with the caption reading: “The former player of the Nigerian national team will protect the honour of the Kyzylorda club in the new season.”

“Victor Moses is a footballer known for his high-level experience after performing in a number of European clubs. His addition to the Kaisar team is a clear proof of the team’s goals for the upcoming season.”

Moses has signed a one-year deal with the two-time Kazakh Cup champions.

Moses joined Liverpool on a season-long loan from Chelsea in September 2013, adding an extra attacking option for Brendan Rodgers. The Nigeria international had been part of Chelsea’s Europa League-winning squad the previous season but became available due to the depth of the Stamford Bridge roster.

Amid interest from several Premier League clubs, Rodgers moved quickly to secure Moses for the 2013-14 campaign. He made his debut for the Reds against Swansea City, showcasing his potential with a sharp dribble and a precise low finish in a 2-2 draw.

That strike earned Moses a series of starts, although he was later mostly used off the bench, as Rodgers was cautious about changing a settled and winning lineup. In January 2014, Moses scored his second Liverpool goal in an FA Cup match at Bournemouth, netting another well-placed effort from distance to help secure victory.
