A lot of people are wondering whether Liam Delap regrets signing for Chelsea in the summer according to journalist Miguel Delaney.
Delap swapped relegated Ipswich for Chelsea last summer in a deal worth £30m, after the Blues activated his relegation release clause.
The striker made his debut at the Club World Cup, but his season to date has been heavily disrupted by injury issues.

Delap has scored just one Premier League goal this season, and has struggled to settle into life at Chelsea, although he’s done better in recent games.
He really struggled against Pafos on Wednesday night and cut an isolated figure as he had just 12 touches in over an hour on the pitch.

Delap was highly sought after in the summer with a number of clubs wanting him, including Manchester United, and Delaney has claimed many people are wondering if he regrets joining Chelsea.
“A lot of people are now wondering whether Delap actually regrets going to Chelsea, given the conveyor belt of forwards around him,” he wrote in The Independent.
“And people at the clubs that wanted him are wondering whether Delap regrets it, because they feel they could have given him more of a chance.
“It’s felt he could have been especially right for Manchester United. Also, I think the lower fee made all the more sense.”

Whilst Delap continues to settle into life at Chelsea, there’s already another striker arriving at the end of the season.
