London City Lionesses 1-2 Manchester City _(Att: 3,418)_

Alice Bergström hit the bar early on for Liverpool, Spurs got through on goal after the break but Signe Gaupset’s effort was well turned away by keeper Jennifer Falk. Mia Enderby hooked in Jenna Clark’s cross in added time and had swiftly got through on goal and score a second. Although the Reds remain at the bottom, they are now just a point short of both West Ham and Everton.

Kerolin was played through by Vivianne Miedema to tuck the ball home after 11 minutes for Manchester City. Issy Goodwin twice hit the woodwork for London City before half-time, the first tipped onto the post by Ayaka Yamashita, the second headed against the crossbar. Freya Godfrey got the equaliser with a strike into the roof of the net, with a quarter of the game to go. Khadija Shaw slotted home a late decider as the Lionesses were unable to clear from a crowded goalmouth.

Julia Zigiotti Olme curled a corner in off the far post for Manchester United, but moments later Kirsty Hanson equalised for Aston Villa. Elisabeth Terland restored United’s advantage with a first-time effort after Melvine Malard’s header, Jess Park quickly added a third for the visitors before setting up Hanna Lundkvist to make it 4-1, as their side goes fourth and within touching distance of both Arsenal and Chelsea.

Verena Hanshaw fired West Ham ahead from a free kick inside the goalkeeper’s near post. Shekiera Martinez rifled home the Hammers’ second goal just after the hour mark. Leicester gave themselves late hope as Hannah Cain’s cross forced an own goal by Eva Nyström, under pressure from Alisha Lehmann. However, the result sees West Ham just a point behind the Foxes.
