(Video): Joao Pedro doubles Chelsea’s lead with powerful finish

Chelsea have doubled their lead against Crystal Palace! Joao Pedro has scored not long after half time to put Liam Rosenior’s team in a commanding position.

Joao Pedro links up with electric Estevao for second goal

Estevao Willian’s goal before the break has really opened this game up, and it was the Brazilian again who helped create this goal.

Joao Pedro held the ball up on the halfway line and laid it off to his countryman, who returned the favour with a chipped return pass over the top.

JP was able to dash in on goal, and when Adam Wharton challenged him the Brazilian cut back onto his left to create space for a shot. He slammed it right through Dean Henderson with sheer power.

That’s a big goal, especially against a team so low on confidence. We should have broken their spirit here, allowing us to start filtering in changes with a huge Champions League game next week in mind.

Cole Palmer is not in the team today, and before kick off Liam Rosenior spoke a little about the injury status of his key creative star.
