Rosenior’s men didn’t need their star man this time around though, as Chelsea looked very impressive in the final third.

Estevao Willian described as ‘special talent’ after Chelsea beat Palace

The Brazilian showed great composure to find the net before half-time, and played his countryman through to double the lead in front of the travelling fans.

Chelsea fans have cried out for more of Estevao, and now Sky Sports pundit Glenn Murray described the youngster as a ‘special talent’, understanding their desire.

He said: “He is certainly a special talent, someone Chelsea fans want to see more of. That is exactly the reason why.”

Estevao starred in our player ratings for the game, and has firmly put his name in the conversation to start on Wednesday in the crucial Champions League group stage game.

Estevao and Pedro impressed in particular, while it will be very hard to leave out Palmer if he is available for selection.

The spotlight could therefore be on Pedro Neto, who despite enjoying a strong season has struggled for goals in recent months at Stamford Bridge.

In what will be the biggest game of Rosenior’s reign so far, he has to get this decision right to automatically book their place in the Round of 16.
