Robert Sanchez was furious at Chelsea teammate despite 3-1 win vs Crystal Palace

Liam Rosenior will have been very pleased with what he saw from his Chelsea players as they helped carry on his impressive start to life in charge of the Blues.

Estevao Willian, Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez all found the net to see the away side run out as 3-1 winners against Crystal Palace.

The teenager in particular played a shining role in proceedings, with Estevao being described as a ‘special talent’ during the game.

If there was one disappointing aspect of the game, it will have been that the Blues did not keep a clean sheet. Robert Sanchez had impressed throughout the match, particularly in denying Jean-Philippe Mateta early on.

He was therefore gutted to see a scrappy Chris Richards header find the net, despite Palace at the time already being down to 10 men.

The Spaniard was particularly angry at his teammate, Fernandez, who had impacted his ability to get rid of the danger after his initial save.

The World Cup winner had fallen over easily as the corner came in, and landed in an unfortunate position that obstructed his goalkeeper.

While the conceded goal had very little impact on what was a dominant Chelsea performance, high standards are always strived for, especially with players who feel they have a point to prove under a new manager.

Mike Maignan is frequently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, although that may be about to die down following news of his new contract at AC Milan.

Rosenior is a big fan of Sanchez, and he looks set for a prolonged period in the side again following an injury to Filip Jorgensen.

The long-term future looks set to be for Mike Penders though. He has already impressed under Rosenior this season at Strasbourg.
