Patrick Dorgu was on the scoresheet once again this weekend as Manchester United beat league leaders Arsenal 3-2.
The Michael Carrick train keeps on rolling at Manchester United, with a second win in a row against the Premier League’s top two.
United beat Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates in what was a surprisingly comfortable game, despite two scrappy goals almost seeing the Red Devils drop points.
Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha were goal scorers, but the pick of the bunch was Patrick Dorgu, who thundered in a volley from outside the box.
This was the latest top-class Dorgu display, with three goals and two assists in his last seven Premier League outings. This latest performance has earned one very exciting comparison.

Patrick Dorgu is showing glimpses of Gareth Bale-esque transformation at Manchester United
After another goal against Arsenal, Dorgu has been praised by United fans, and for good reason.
It was an incredible goal that could win awards come May, but his performance in general is reminiscent of Gareth Bale.

Bale began his career at left-back, before moving onto the wing, where he was explosive yet raw, before developing into a world beater.
Dorgu has been getting better and better on the wing, and against Arsenal, he was top draw with powerful runs in behind and one particular moment with step-overs to open up a chance for himself to shoot.
Dorgu has been working so hard over the past few months and has proven Ruben Amorim wrong for his comments on feeling anxiety when the Dane had the ball.
United twice bid £100m for Bale in 2015, according to TNT Sports, but they might’ve just got the next version for just £25m.
If Dorgu can string his last seven games together over a full season, he would be in contention for the player of the year, which shows how excellent he has been.

Dorgu has scored twice in a row, against the two best teams in the Premier League, and he now cannot be denied as a star for United.
Speaking on commentary for Sky Sports, Gary Neville couldn’t hold back his praise.
“He was such an average left wing back, but now when you see him up top, he’s completely and utterly different. (replay shown of goal) That’s the goal of a lifetime.”
Neville is spot on. Dorgu’s power and speed make him so dangerous for United, and now he is slowly adding technical quality, decision-making, and finishing.
Carrick suddenly has a star in the making on the left, a position which was previously weak, and this is only the start.
