Jamie Carragher was left baffled by one decision in Crystal Palace's defeat against Chelsea — with the Stamford Bridge side's victory seeing it overtake Liverpool.
Enzo Fernandez converted from the penalty spot in the second half after Jaydee Canvot had handled the ball when attempting to block a shot from Joao Pedro. But while Liverpool legend Carragher could understand the spot kick being given, he couldn't see why the referee, Darren England, also issued a yellow card.
"It reminds me a little bit of the [Florian] Wirtz one at Fulham where they tell you it's right — and the lines are a bit thicker — and it's the first time you've ever heard that," Carragher said on Sky Sports.

"The yellow card? If they're saying that's in the rules, OK. Fine. It does hit his arm, so give a penalty, but I don't understand what you are getting yellow carded for.
"What's he supposed to do? They'll say if it's deliberate, you give a red card, but if it's not deliberate, yellow card? It's either a red card for deliberate or if it's not deliberate, no yellow card."
Fellow pundit Gary Cahill was also critical of the decision, arguing that defenders have to block shots with their arms behind their backs for this exact reason.

While Canvot did touch the ball with his arm, his body was in a natural position and the ball bounced off his side first.
It looked like a harsh decision in real time and in slow motion, though it didn't influence the result.
"I'm not thinking about being relieved or how I'm feeling," Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior said. "I'm just focused on the job. That's really, really important. We've got another huge game on Wednesday.
"I think today was a huge test. I changed the shape of the play. It's hard to explain — it's like a semi-four or semi-five at the back with Andrey [Santos] in between.

"For them to go and put on, from a tactical point of view, the performance that they did in two days makes me very pleased, because pretty much 95 per cent of the press and 95 per cent of the positioning was absolutely perfect. They're engaged.
"I think they're believing in what they're doing. It's one game. We have to make sure we're consistent in every game we play."
Liverpool.com says: It looked a harsh call but it didn't change the game. Chelsea deserved to win and has looked good under Rosenior so far. Coming up, it has some favorable fixtures too, so could establish itself as being ahead of Liverpool in the standings.
