Andy Robertson set to remain at Liverpool

**Liverpool have called off Andy Robertson’s potential January departure.**

Robertson is out of contract with the Premier League champions this summer which saw [Tottenham make an approach for his services](https://www.clickliverpool.com/sport/liverpool-fc/63144-liverpool-in-talks-over-andy-robertson-exit/) earlier this week.

A package in the region of £5 million is understood to have been floated during negotiations as the Londoners looked to source left-back options.

Thomas Frank’s side are set to be without Ben Davies due to a season-ending ankle injury and targeted Robertson as experienced cover for him.

But the Reds pulled the plug on the Scotland international’s sale due to their own squad availability issues despite him being usurped by Milos Kerkez.

Robertson replaced Kerkez at the interval of Saturday’s eventual 3-2 loss to Bournemouth and is the only other available option in his established position.

The possibility of recalling fellow left-back Kostas Tsimikas from a season-long loan with Roma is understood to have been explored by Arne Slot’s side.

However Liverpool’s Serie A counterparts are believed to have rebuffed the idea despite speculation that Tsimikas’ return would facilitate Robertson’s exit.
