Manchester United are in dreamland under Michael Carrick after two wins in his opening two matches.
Michael Carrick had a tough test in his opening two matches in charge, facing Manchester City and then Arsenal. Incredibly he has managed to win both.
United’s win over Arsenal was impressive, after going 1-0 down, United bounced back to lead 2-1 and then take a 3-2 lead moments after a scrappy equaliser.
What made this win so special was the style. The first goal for Bryan Mbeumo was a gift from an Arsenal mistake, but the next two strikes were sensational.
Patrick Dorgu scored another goal of the season contender, before Matheus Cunha curled in a stunning winner.

United end Arsenal streak
Arsenal took a fortuitous first half lead through a Lisandro Martinez own goal, and from that point they were even more heavily favoured to win.
In the 2025/26 season, Arsenal have taken a 1-0 lead 24 times, and they had gone on to win 24 of them.
And then Manchester United came to town.
At the 25th attempt they cracked, with Manchester United rallying really well after Arsenal took the lead, scoring a swift equaliser.
In the second half United continued to gain a foothold in the game and scored two sensational strikes. The three points were totally deserved.
