Stephen Curry expressed his solidarity with the protests across Minneapolis, describing what he saw as something powerful.

"You can kind of feel it when we got here two days ago. The protests going on downtown were amazing to watch—the turnout, the peaceful protest, the unified voice—and you feel like that could turn the tide in a more positive direction," he said.

"A lot of change needs to happen, and when you’re here, you feel it. I was glued to the TV yesterday when we weren’t playing, watching the coverage, understanding what was going on, and trying to get knowledgeable about it. Hopefully, the community comes together and the right decisions are made so there’s a more peaceful environment here."

Before the game, head coach Steve Kerr already dropped significant sentiments about the current national event in the United States. He expressed sympathy for the people of the Twin Cities and the families affected by the shooting, further questioning the narratives being thrown by the media that divide the nation.

The Warriors and the Timberwolves were initially scheduled to play on Saturday, but they coordinated with the NBA to move the game to Sunday due to the incident.

"I’ve got videos on my phone of it all the way down. It was like three straight hours in 10-degree weather," Curry added. "It was beautiful to see that turnout, and it speaks to how important it was for people to have their voices heard. Despite the elements and the streets right outside our hotel, they were out there, and it was amazing to watch."

On his end, Anthony Edwards offered a simple statement of support.

"I just love Minnesota, all the love and support that they show me," the Timberwolves superstar said, "So I'm behind whatever they with. I don't really have social media, so I'm not in tune with everything. But I've heard about the stuff that's going on.

"Me and my family definitely praying for everybody."

The Warriors and the Timberwolves are set for a rematch on Monday, as the Dubs took a dominant 111-85 win this weekend.
