AS Roma chief Frederic Massara has confirmed that his side are in talks with Liverpool regarding the return of Kostas Tsimikas, as the Reds eye up replacing Tottenham linked Andy Robertson.
Since joining from Hull City for a bargain £8m in 2017, the Scot has been virtually undroppable, amassing 362 appearances for the Reds. However, the current campaign has painted a different picture.
The *LIVERPOOL*‘ vice-captain has rotated at left-back for the majority of the season with £40m summer signing Milos Kerkez and the Scotland captain faces the toughest competition he’s had for a place in the side since he broke into the team.
Robertson has recently publicly opened the door to a potential exit this summer, acknowledging that his lack of game time is a major factor as he approaches the end of his contract in the summer, and that opened the door for Tottenham to make a move this January.
Now, amid the news that Liverpool could sell Robertson, Roma have confirmed they are now in talks to let Tsimikas make the move back to Anfield: “They are all situations that are evolving, we are in a dialogue with Liverpool and we’ll see how that evolves over the next few days,” confirmed Massara.
“Carrasco is a talented player, but in January it is never easy to do deals. We have a week left to see if there are any solutions that can truly strengthen the squad, which is already competitive.”

This rumour has been mad, the fact that Robertson could leave LIVERPOOL now and not at the end of the season is mad, so Liverpool would be wise to make sure that they do not allow the Scottish star to go yet.
He is a world class cover for Kerkez and although he wants to play, a move to Tottenham may not be the best idea.
