Jamie Carragher and Gary Cahill discuss Crystal Palace defender Jaydee Canvot's accidental handball which led to a yellow card and a penalty for Chelsea.
A lot of fans were confused by this one because the referee said it was accidental, so why is it still a penalty and why has he booked him too?
DERMOT SAYS: "The law was changed in August 2024. It was felt that if a player stops the ball accidentally with his hand from going in the goal, it isn't about handball, it's about stoping a goal. That's the difference, it's a dfferent part of the law.
"When you look at this incident from behind the goal, it is quite clear it is going in the goal. There is no doubt whatsoever it's going to be a goal. The goalkeeper is out.
BOTHROYD SAYS: "The fact the ball is going into the goal, it has to be a penalty. I've heard ex-players say it should be a penalty, talking about distances, but ultimately, the ball is going in the goal. It has to be a penalty.
"It's just an unfortunate scenario for the defender. It's the right decision."
