Liam Rosenior says he has spoken to Cole Palmer about his Chelsea future amid talk of the playmaker being homesick, and the constant rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United in the future.
The 23-year-old grew up in Manchester and reports emerged earlier this week claiming he misses his hometown, and would be open to the idea of making that move back up North and join Manchester United.
However, CHELSEA boss Rosenior insists that the England international is “very happy” at Stamford Bridge and that “every player has problems” after it was put to Rosenior that Palmer may be homesick.
But Rosenior believes that the versatile attacker, who moved from City to CHELSEA in 2023, is a “huge” part of the London side’s long-term plans, In response, the former Strasbourg boss said: “I’ve had numerous conversations with Cole and he seems, and is, very, very happy to be here.
‘He is a huge part of our long‑term plans, he’s an outstanding player. Every player goes through difficult moments in their career with injuries, but that is no indication of his quality.”
“There was frustration in the Brentford game – not because he isn’t happy here, but because he couldn’t perform at the level he wants to for the club,” added Rosenior. “My job, and the club’s job, is to get him performing consistently at the level he wants to.”

Cole Palmer is a world class player, a star that CHELSEA can turn into a superstar and that long tern contract means that he will not be going anywhere unless some crazy offer is made by chasing clubs.
However – we can see Palmer leaving the club in a few transfer windows if the club are unable to meet Palmer’s ambitions of winning trophies on a regular basis.
