10 deals that could still be completed with one week remaining of transfer window

The January transfer window has just a number of days remaining but there could still be some major deals in the pipeline for a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea

The 2026 January transfer window is nearly done and dusted - and there has been some serious money spent. Manchester City have once again flexed their financial muscles, having signed Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi from Bournemouth and Crystal Palace respectively.

And while their Premier League rivals have yet to really dip their feet into the market, that could all change over the coming days. With the deadline now quickly approaching on the horizon, a host of clubs could yet opt to add to their squads.

That includes table-topping Arsenal, while Chelsea are predictably in the conversation as they aim to back new boss Liam Rosenior.

Víctor Valdepeñas to Arsenal

Arsenal are not expected to spend heavily over the coming days but they could potentially be set to do business with Spanish giants Real Madrid once again. According to the BBC, the Gunners hold an interest in young defender Valdepeñas.

They have been keeping a close eye on him and internal talks about a potential move are ongoing. Whether that comes to fruition in the winter window or it’s more one for the summer remains to be seen but it could be one that moves relatively quickly.

Douglaz Luiz to Chelsea

Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea could also be busy over the coming days. The Blues have expressed their desire to add a new midfielder to the squad following an injury to Dario Essugo.

Douglas Luiz is a potential option for the Blues, albeit a deal would be quite complicated. The Brazilian is currently in the middle of a loan spell with Nottingham Forest so Chelsea would not only have to negotiate with the Reds but also his parent club Juventus.

Oscar Bobb and Ricardo Pepi to Fulham

Across West London, Chelsea’s near neighbours Fulham could also be very busy over the coming days. They have an interest in Manchester City wideman Oscar Bobb, who is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium following the arrival of Semenyo.

They are also eyeing a deal for PSV forward Ricardo Pepi, having lodged a £28m bid for the American frontman. That could potentially be enough to tempt the Dutch side into selling.

Adama Traore to West Ham

Sticking in London, West Ham might also be busy as they attempt to mastermind an escape from relegation. Nuno Espirito Santo has identified his former Wolves star Adama Traore as a potential recruit.

Fulham boss Marco Silva has confirmed that the Spanish wideman is set for an exit, with the ball now firmly in Traore’s court over a potential switch to the London Stadium.

Lucas Paqueta to Flamengo

Should Traore arrive at West Ham, that could potentially open the door to Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paqueta leaving the club sooner rather than later. He has been linked with an exit throughout the transfer window, with former side Flamengo keen on signing him.

The Brazilian side have already seen a few bids rebuffed for Paqueta’s signature, with their latest being in the region of £38.5m. That could potentially be enough to convince West Ham to sell.

Rayan and Christos Mandas to Bournemouth

The Hammers have already invested heavily this January, while Bournemouth are set to follow them with their own double deal. Goalkeeper Christos Mandas is set to move to the South Coast on loan from Italian giants Lazio.

In the meantime, the Cherries are also attempting to find their Semenyo replacement. Vasco da Gama winger Rayan has flown to the UK ahead of a potential £25m move to the Premier League.

Tammy Abraham to Aston Villa

Aston Villa currently sit third in the Premier League and are just four points behind table-topping Arsenal. Unai Emery is now keen on adding some new faces to his side.

One arrival could however be a familiar one in the form of striker Tammy Abraham. The English frontman is reportedly on the verge of a return to Villa Park, having spent the first-half of the campaign with Besiktas. Yasin Ozcan is reportedly set to move in the opposite direction.

Toby Collyer to Hull City

While Michael Carrick has suggested that Man United will not be making any major signings in the current window, outgoings have not been ruled out. Toby Collyer could move away from Old Trafford and join Championship side Hull City on loan.

He was previously with West Bromwich Albion but saw his stint at the Hawthorns disrupted by injury ahead of being recalled.
