Leeds United are suddenly under some pressure to get a result at Everton tonight after the results at the bottom of the league table this weekend.
West Ham won a second consecutive league game to rekindle their hopes of avoiding relegation, and Nottingham Forest pulled off a shock 1-0 win over Brentford to ease some of the pressure on them.

Leeds can restore the eight-point gap with the relegation zone if they beat Everton, who have already lost four times in the Premier League at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer.
Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker have indicated that Leeds could be under pressure again, but Arsenal are far more worried about their trip to Elland Road next weekend after losing at home against Manchester United.
Arsenal fans are not looking forward to visiting Leeds next weekend
Manchester United’s 3-2 win at the Emirates on Sunday cut Arsenal’s lead down to four points at the top of the Premier League table.
The home side looked unconvincing and lost for the first time this season after scoring the first goal in a game. The Gunners looked too dependent on set-pieces, while Manchester United scored three brilliant goals to walk away with a win.
Arsenal fans are now looking at the fixture list, and they are clearly not looking forward to facing Leeds at Elland Road next weekend.
The Gunner swatted aside Leeds at home earlier in the season. But a lot has changed since then, and the Whites are a far more resilient side now.
Arsenal supporters are not keen to see their side again getting physically dominated in midfield, and most of them are worried about playing at Elland Road.
“Didn’t even clock next game is at Elland Road.”
“I can bet anyone, we ain’t winning at Elland Road next weekend.”
“Next match is Leeds at Elland Road. We’re so cooked.”
“Our next game is at Elland Road, gulp.”

A result at Everton will set Leeds up nicely for next weekend
Leeds have taken points on the road against sides such as Liverpool and Brentford, while their strong home form at Elland Road has helped lift them to 16th in the table. Their defeat at Newcastle only came after two late goals and a costly goalkeeping error that forced Lucas Perri out of the team.
Another difficult test now awaits at Everton, but Leeds have shown enough in recent weeks to believe they can get something from tonight’s trip.
The Toffees sit 11th, seven points clear of Leeds, yet have struggled in front of goal, and the absence of Jack Grealish is expected to further blunt their attacking threat.

A positive result on Merseyside would be significant for Leeds, easing the pressure ahead of next weekend’s clash with Arsenal and allowing Daniel Farke’s side to approach that fixture with far less tension.
With that in mind, Leeds will feel they have a realistic chance of returning home with at least a point, and potentially even a memorable away win.
