A former PGMOL chief and ex-FIFA referee has said that a Chelsea player could still be punished for an incident in the Crystal Palace win.
It was a game that had plenty going on, with four goals, a sending off, and some yellow cards as well. But Chelsea came off better, keeping all 11 players on the pitch and winning the game 3-1.
EXCLUSIVE! The inside story around Cole Palmer and his Chelsea future being in doubt!!
Palace manager Oliver Glasner has already been complaining about a number of the officiating decisions that he felt went against his side. And now, there is claims that Blues player Pedro Neto could now face punishment even though he didn’t receive any during the game.
Joao Pedro got the important second goal to put some distance between the two sides, and Estevao Willian opened the scoring in this game with a superb run and finish after he pounced on a Palace mistake.
But back to Neto’s incident, and Glasner believes that the Chelsea winger stamped on one of his players.

Former PGMOL chief and ex-FIFA referee, Keith Hackett, has had his say on the incident.
Hackett told Football Insider: “What you’re looking for is a degree of intensity and force. But this went unpunished.
“If the authorities decided they wanted to apply a sanction, even though there’s VAR, if the officials state they haven’t seen it, the FA can take it forward, and a panel will review it.
“You cannot let an incident like that go unpunished. For me, it was, at the very minimum, reckless, and therefore, he should have received a yellow card. It was more of a horse-kick, rather than a stamp, so it’s reckless for me.”
