Manchester United star Patrick Dorgu has delivered a brilliant 10-word response to club legend Patrice Evra following his spectacular strike during Sunday afternoon's 3-2 victory at Arsenal. The Red Devils initially trailed at the Emirates Stadium through Lisandro Martinez's first-half own goal.

Bryan Mbeumo subsequently levelled matters before Dorgu's long-range effort put Michael Carrick's team in front early in the second half. Arsenal believed they had salvaged a point following Mikel Merino's equaliser, with the Premier League table-toppers feeling confident about securing three points at that stage.

Nevertheless, Matheus Cunha produced a magnificent strike from the box's edge to leave Arsenal shell-shocked. Dorgu's strike in north London marked his second goal in consecutive fixtures, having also found the net during United's 2-0 win over Manchester City.

The 21-year-old's effort on Sunday drew comparisons with Evra's memorable finish against Bayern Munich in 2014.

The Frenchman has now responded to Dorgu's effort against Arsenal. Evra shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring a replay of the goal with the caption: "What are you doing to me bro!"

Dorgu subsequently reposted it, making reference to Evra's strike against Bayern. He said: "Learned from the best. I've seen your goal against Bayern."

The Danish player has sparked fresh injury concerns at United after being withdrawn due to an apparent problem on Sunday afternoon. With approximately 10 minutes remaining, Dorgu collapsed following a high-speed challenge with Ben White - grasping his hamstring as he remained on the turf.

United's medical staff swiftly entered the pitch to assess him - before he was substituted by Benjamin Sesko moments later. Whilst the extent of Dorgu's injury remains unclear, it could present a considerable headache for Carrick at this vital point in the campaign.

Nevertheless, speaking following the match, Carrick dismissed concerns of a serious issue for the Denmark international. "He came off with hopefully a little bit of cramp, hopefully it's nothing worse," Carrick said.

"He ended up coming off, but I think it just shows what he put in with his performance. But yeah absolutely delighted for him, just hope he's not too bad."

On whether it was definitely cramp - rather than a hamstring issue, he added: "At this stage it's hard to tell. We'll just have to wait and see, but for sure we're hoping that it's not too bad."

Sunday afternoon's win saw United move up to fourth in the standings with 10 wins, eight draws and five losses this season. Their next fixture is a home clash with Fulham on Sunday, February 1.
