The race for Europe’s top young talents never seems to end, even in January. The latest young player to catch the attention of some of the biggest clubs in the world-such as Bayern Munich- is Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquét, according to Fabrizio Romani (as captured by [@iMiaSanMia](https://x.com/iMiaSanMia/status/2015449264294396033?s=20)):

Rennes insist on keeping the player until the end of the season, but are open to agreeing a deal with another club now for the summer. It’s going to be a ‘big battle’ for the French defender. At the moment Rennes are demanding a club record fee (€65-70m).
Jacquét has a lot of the qualities needed in modern top center backs. Quality on the ball, height and composure are just some of his standout qualities. But with a contract at Rennes until 2029, getting him out of the French club will prove to be expensive.
