Hull City are reportedly in advanced talks over a loan deal for Liverpool winger Lewis Koumas following the conclusion of his spell at Birmingham City.
It did not work out for the Wales international in the Midlands and after just one goal in 25 appearances, his loan has been cut short.

However, Koumas could find himself higher up the Championship table by the end of the window.
According to Hull Live, versatile attacker is again of interest to Hull. Negotiations over a loan move are believed to be at an advanced stage, although it has been suggested the Tigers will need to make room for his arrival.
Speaking to Hull Live earlier in the campaign, Hull boss Sergej Jakirović said: "Koumas is a very good player, a young player, with big potential, so we will see. We will see what will happen in the future.”

It may not have worked out for Koumas at Birmingham, but it very much appears there is talent to be worked with.
He stood out at various youth levels for Liverpool and scored on his first-team debut for the club in January 2024, notching in a 3-0 victory over Southampton.

Stoke signed Koumas on loan later on in the year and he amassed 49 appearances for the Potters, weighing in with six goals and three assists.
After being afforded just seven league starts at Birmingham, a fresh loan challenge could be just what the winger requires in order to kickstart his career.
Hull have until February 2 to wrap up their transfer business.
