Chelsea are preparing for a tough Champions League clash against Serie A champions Napoli on Wednesday night.
The Blues come off an excellent 3-1 win against Crystal Palace over the weekend, which makes it four wins out of five games for new manager Liam Rosenior. This next clash will be a tough test, though, as Napoli won the Serie A under former Blues coach Antonio Conte last season.
Rosenior also has injury problems to deal with. Cole Palmer is a doubt for the game with a hamstring injury, and the likes of Tosin, Filip Jorgensen, and Romeo Lavia also remain out.
Speaking about Palmer, Rosenior said over the weekend: “Cole (Palmer) is in a good place; he joined training today, which is really positive, and we will assess his reaction to training.” – He is currently being assessed ahead of Wednesday’s game.
Here is how the Blues could line up under Rosenior when they make the trip to Naples on Wednesday night…

Fofana is the only change in defence
GK – Robert Sanchez – Sanchez got a lot of criticism last year, but he’s been much improved for Chelsea this season.
LB – Marc Cucurella – Cucurella is Rosenior’s first choice left-back, and should be in line to start again this week.
CB – Trevoh Chalobah – Chalobah has been Chelsea’s best centre-back this season, so should keep his spot for Wednesday.
CB – Wesley Fofana – Fofana and Benoit Badiashile are inter-changing at centre-back, so Fofana comes into the side for this game.
RB – Reece James –James starts as Chelsea’s captain yet again, after a series of solid performances under Rosenior.
Palmer left on the bench, despite being fit
CDM – Moises Caicedo – Caicedo is a must start when he is fit, and so he should get some good minutes against Napoli.
CDM – Andrey Santos – Rosenior coached Santos at Strasbourg, so it is no surprise that he’s getting good minutes at the moment.
CAM – Enzo Fernandez – Fernandez scored during the Crystal Palace win, and he’ll be looking for more of the same this week.
Gittens comes in for Pedro Neto in attack
LW – Jamie Gittens – We have gone with Gittens here so that Pedro Neto gets the chance to rest after the weekend.
RW – Estevao – Estevao scored and assisted against Palace, so deserves to keep his starting role for the Napoli game.
ST – Joao Pedro – Pedro could get replaced by Delap, but seeing as he scored at the weekend, he starts this game.
