There was a soccer theme to former Liverpool star Luis Suarez's birthday cake as he celebrated his birthday with his family over the weekend.
The former Liverpool star turned 39 on Saturday, and he shared a snap of his family next to a huge birthday cake, which featured the Liverpool crest as well as the crests of all the clubs he has played for during his career.
Suarez has three children: Delfina, Benjamin and Lauti. Benjamin was born while Suarez was playing for Liverpool, and the cake also featured a picture of Suarez walking out with Benjamin at Anfield.
"Celebrating with family and a moment to thank everyone who sent me birthday greetings," Suarez wrote alongside the family snap on social media. "Thank you for every message, photo, design, video, and memory."

Suarez's professional career will continue for at least another season after he signed a one-year contract extension with Inter Miami to keep him at the club for the 2026 MLS season.
Suarez registered 17 goals and 17 assists during the 2025 season as Miami won the MLS Cup for the first time in its short history.
The Uruguayan, who retired from international soccer in 2024, spent three seasons at Liverpool between 2011 and 2014 before departing for Barcelona.

Suarez produced one of the greatest individual seasons in Premier League history during his final campaign with the Reds, scoring 31 times in 33 games and almost dragging the Reds to title glory in 2013/14.
After Liverpool agonisingly missed out on the league to Manchester City, Suarez embarked on a six-year Barcelona career which saw him score 198 goals in 283 games.
Suarez reflected on the differences between his spells at Liverpool and Barcelona during an interview last year, saying that he became a more rounded team player in Catalonia after an exciting stint on Merseyside that was largely defined by moments of individual brilliance.
"At Liverpool, I was a beast," Suarez told Spanish outlet Sport in 2025. "Everything went in. I relied on instinct.

"At Barca, I had to learn a 10x10 game, one-touch and tight spaces. In Barcelona, wherever you looked, you had to make the right pass. That made me a much better player. It made me evolve so much."
