Lip-reader Reveals What Draymond Green Told Referee After Foul Call

Thursday’s game between the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks saw Draymond Green limited to just 23 minutes of action on the court against Dallas. He was fouled out of the game and couldn’t help the Warriors prevent a 123-115 loss.

In the middle of the fourth quarter though, Green committed a foul on Mavericks’ big man Dwight Powell.

This happened as Powell was getting into position before Green gave him a light elbow hit. The Dallas Mavericks center who did not expect the hit from the Warriors forward, quickly fell to the ground.

The foul was immediately caught by one of the referees, and the play was reviewed. But after the call, Draymond Green questioned the official’s decision to call the foul on him. He had a furious exchange of words with the referee, who had to review the play.

Lip-reader reveals what Draymond Green told referee after foul calls

Following the incident on Thursday, a professional lip-reader has now shared what Draymond Green said to the referee during the heated moment. Just after a review of the play was called, Green is believed to have lashed out at the referee with the exact words:

“Review, why? He running and just run into me. Now, why would you review it? What you reviewing?”

Despite his words, the official remained calm and reviewed the play. After that, the referee announced that the star forward committed a flagrant foul. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr didn’t think his player deserved that call.

“That’s not flagrant,” Kerr told the referee.

The referee then explained to Kerr why the foul was upgraded to a flagrant violation.

“Part of this, how his elbow — how he catches him,” the official said, gesticulating as he explained.

However, Draymond Green was still upset about the decision and continued offloading his heart’s content on the referee.

“I know you ain’t call that, s**t head,” Green said. “No, the fk you haven’t. I bring intensity. Soft as st. You’re puny.”

Nonetheless, Green finished the night with four points, four rebounds and five assists. He also had two steals and a block.

Stephen Curry on the other side, tried to bail his team out with his 38 points. But ultimately, it wasn’t enough for them to clinch a win.
