The Lakers have reportedly offered the expiring contracts of Gabe Vincent and Maxi Kleber, along with a 2032 second-round pick, for Jonathan Kuminga, but the Warriors have shown no interest in the package.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors have held brief trade discussions centered around GSW forward Jonathan Kuminga, according to Evan Sidery of Forbes.
Los Angeles Lakers / Schedule
Per the report, the Lakers are willing to offer the expiring contracts of Gabe Vincent and Maxi Kleber, along with a 2032 second-round pick. However, Golden State has shown little to no interest in the assets Los Angeles can provide.
With the February 5 trade deadline approaching, the Lakers are actively searching for a 3-and-D wing but remain limited in terms of trade capital. Kuminga, who has reportedly requested a trade, would fit that need.
That said, following Jimmy Butler's season-ending injury, there is a growing possibility that the Warriors may ultimately keep Kuminga.
This season, the 23-year-old is averaging 12.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
The Lakers currently hold a 27-17 record, sitting fifth in the Western Conference. The Warriors are 26-21, good for eighth place in the West.
