Chelsea fans have not been happy with the club’s owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.
They have made that abundantly clear at recent matches, with Eghbali being the main target for supporters.
During Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham earlier this month, fans unfurled a “BlueCo out” banner and had an unsavoury chant for Eghbali.

One reason why Chelsea supporters are so frustrated at the club’s board is because of the transfers they have been making. And that frustration will only grow if the Blues sign Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.

Chelsea interest in Harry Maguire makes sense
Ironically, Chelsea fans are unhappy because the club’s current regime have not been signing players of Maguire’s profile. Sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley have been leading a youth-led strategy in the transfer market that is not bearing fruit in the Premier League right now.
Even so, you suspect that the majority of supporters are unlikely to back any move for Maguire after his struggles at United.
However, despite his difficult time at Old Trafford, a central defender like Maguire is actually what Chelsea need.
It was recently claimed that Chelsea are open to signing Maguire in the summer, and their reported interest in him is not as far-fetched as it sounds.

Maguire turns 33 in March and has made more than 275 appearances in the Premier League. He would add some much-needed experience to Liam Rosenior’s young squad.
Maguire is also one of England’s leaders and used to captain United so would bring some more leadership to the Chelsea dressing room.
He is not someone who should be starting week in, week out. But Maguire could definitely make an impact off the bench when Chelsea need to see out a game. His height and aerial presence will help them to deal with aerial onslaughts towards the end of matches.
With his contract set to expire in June as well, the Club World Cup winners will be able to snap up the England international for nothing.

Todd Boehly will be criticised if Chelsea sign Harry Maguire
If you look at what Chelsea need and Maguire’s profile, it is not hard to see how the two could be a good fit.
However, the United star will still be viewed as a very underwhelming and controversial signing. Boehly has taken a bit of a back seat at Chelsea, but having become the face of the club’s ownership group, he is going to be the one to take flak if the Blues do go on to sign Maguire, at least from the outside.
While Chelsea supporters mostly blame Eghbali and the sporting directors for the club’s decisions these days, those who do not understand the politics at Stamford Bridge continue to criticise Boehly for everything.
