Chelsea wants£200k-a-week star–£120M star will be Chelsea player confirms boss–£100M Chelsea target makes decision

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Cole Palmer, Elliot Anderson and Harry Maguire that you may have missed…

Here is the latest Chelsea transfer news and gossip and the Blues are reportedly looking to sign Harry Maguire from Manchester United during the summer window, to help solve the clubs defensive issues.

That CHELSEA board have been very active in the transfer market over the past few windows, have signed alot of players that they believe could drive the club into an era of dominance.

However – Chelsea still have a number of issues that they need to solve in that back-line, as the current crop of players have let in far too many goals that the club would like, and have alot more developing to do before the Blues challenge for that Premier League.

And as reported by TEAMtalk, Chelsea’s top priorities this transfer window is find a new centre-back, and while Rennes’ Jeremy Jacquet is also in the running, the Blues are also keen to add an experience player to the side.

And that has led to reports in the media that CHELSEA are very much open to the idea of trying to sign Harry Maguire from Man United

IcFootballnews says…

CHELSEA like to buy young, they like to sign players that will be a long-term investment, but having that experience in the side will make those younger players better in the long-run.

If the reports are true and the club wants to sign Maguire, he will be brilliant to have in the dressing room for a season or two, he is a winner, a leader and a massive person to have around in that dressing room.

However – we really cant see this transfer deal happening as the CHELSEA board do not like to splash the cash and sign players that are over the age of thirty, especially ones that may not have too much value in the market.

This is a rumour we cant see happening.

PALMER DECISION MADE

Chelsea have made a decision on the future of Cole Palmer, with reports now claiming that the Blues will not allow him to leave the club at the end of the current season.

In 81 Premier League games for CHELSEA the 23‑year‑old has produced 40 goals and 18 assists and he is now easily considered to be one of the most highly-rated young players in the game, and a player that the Blues really rely on.

But despite the fact he has a long term contract, despite the fact he has now shown any desire to leave in previous windows, there is always speculation that he could leave if a big club comes calling.

Palmer has been tipped to make the move to Man United if the Red Devils are able to bring Mauricio Pochettino back to England after he leads the USA at the world cup in the summer.

But The Telegraph reports that Palmer is “untouchable” at Chelsea, meaning they won’t let him leave. With a contract until 2033, he could be at Stamford Bridge for the foreseeable future.

Rene Meulensteen, who once worked alongside Sir Alex Ferguson in Manchester, recently told Casinostugan: “Could Mauricio Pochettino convince Cole Palmer to come to Manchester United? Only if CHELSEA would be willing to let him go.

‘Palmer is a fantastic player and I think he would suit Manchester United really well and the way they should be playing because he is a difference maker. That’s always what you want.

“You’d need to think about how he’s going to fit in because on that right-hand side, where Cole is playing to come into the pocket, obviously you can have Amad Diallo there too or [Bryan] Mbeumo. Bruno [Fernandes] operates in the middle.

“Palmer was a boyhood United fan and it’s actually too strange for words that United never picked up on it and made sure that they sounded him out about his plans if he ever were to leave City. It’s very strange that it never happened, in my opinion.”

ANDERSON DECISION MADE?

Elliot Anderson is said to prefer a move to Manchester City rather than any other Premier League amid the reports Chelsea and Manchester United are also keen on the Nottingham Forest midfielder.

This transfer window has now seen much action for CHELSEA in terms of players coming and going, but it has already been chaotic after the club opted to let Enzo Maresca eave the club on new years Day.

Liam Rosenior is in charge of CHELSEA, with alot of pressure on the former Strasbourg boss to make an immediate impact considering the board want Champions League football for next season, and maybe a trophy added too.

The 23-year-old Anderson has excelled since leaving Newcastle for the City Ground and is now firmly established as part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans for next summer’s World Cup.

Unsurprisingly, Anderson’s form has alerted a number of leading Premier League clubs with the likes of Chelsea, Man United and Man City all reportedly interested in a deal for the talented midfielder.

The 23-year-old central-midfielder has been a top target of the elite for some time, but the I claim that he would prefer to link up with Pep Guardiola’s Sky Blues if he was to make that move away from Forest.

IcFootballnews Says…

It is very easy to see why all the big clubs wants Anderson, he has been so impressive for Forest and a player that could become one of the best in his position, but he needs to make the right career choices.

There is talk that Pep Guardiola may leave Man City at the end of the season, meaning a move to City may not be the best option for the man, and it will be interested to see where he ends up when he leaves Forest.
