Official: Barcelona announce permanent sale

La Liga champions Barcelona have on Monday officially announced the departure of youngster Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández.

This comes amid confirmation that the 18-year-old has taken his talents to France, with Paris Saint-Germain.

The name of midfielder Dro had of course emerged as an altogether prominent one in the media headlines surrounding Barcelona over recent weeks.

As much came after the Spaniard informed those in a position of power at the Spotify Camp Nou of his surprise decision to depart, in search of more regular playing time.

The aforementioned PSG, in turn, quickly beat out the competition to strike an agreement with Dro and his entourage.

And as alluded to above, on Monday, this accord has officially borne fruit.

As per a statement across Barcelona’s website and social media platforms:

‘FC Barcelona and PSG have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Pedro Fernández, ‘Dro’, to the Parisian team.

‘The Club wishes him good luck in the future, both personally and professionally.’
