NBA legend pushes Stephen Curry to join Victor Wembanyama, Spurs

Indiana Pacers great Reggie Miller believes a Curry-Wemby pairing will be sensational.

A massive question mark is right in front of Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors right now. They had high hopes of contending for the NBA title this year, but everything turned to dust after Jimmy Butler's season-ending ACL injury.

San Antonio Spurs / Schedule

Regardless if Butler will be able to return at some point early next year, doubts are still high that the Warriors can still be in the mix among legit contenders due to the age of their main core and lack of assets available.

Out of these brutal circumstances, many are already calling for the Dubs to let Curry go to chase his ring No. 5 elsewhere. And in this, Reggie Miller is intrigued about the idea of the superstar guard joining the NBA's team of the future.

In his recent appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, the Indiana Pacers legend floated the possibility of Curry landing with the San Antonio Spurs to team up with Victor Wembanyama.

In a hypothetical trade with the Warriors, Miller believes that the Spurs have to send De'Aaron Fox, Dylan Harper, Harrison Barnes, Luke Kornet and Keldon Johnson.

"I would [do it] because of experience, obviously lean towards the champs, but we’ve seen on a small sample scale they’re 3–1 versus OKC this year. That would be fascinating because you have a proven winner scorer, someone who can space the floor."

With a 31-15 record, the Spurs are on the rise and poised to be a serious threat heading to the NBA Playoffs. Due to Wembanyama's presence, the sky's the limit for San Antonio to succeed.

Right now, both Curry and the Warriors remain committed to each other. But it would be intriguing to see the future Hall of Famer running the show with Wembanyama in Texas.
