Tottenham are looking to reinforce their attacking unit before the winter transfer window slams shut.
Tottenham Hotspur have had a busy January, with plenty of action still possible. They have loaned out several young talents and sold Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace earlier this transfer window. As far as the incomings are concerned, Spurs have signed central midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid and teenage prospect Souza from Santos.
Tottenham have faced problems putting the ball into the back of the net this season. The north London outfit could be in the market for a new striker in the coming months, with Richarlison sidelined for several weeks with a hamstring injury and Randal Kolo Muani yet to bag his first Premier League goal since his arrival on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
Dominic Solanke is now back in the fold and scored in the 2-0 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund last week, but he’s spent a large portion of the season out injured. Mathys Tel is another option for Thomas Frank through the middle of attack, but the France Under-21 international wants to leave the club on loan for regular minutes.

Tottenham keeping tabs on Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque
With Richarlison having injury issues, Spurs need a striker to solve manager Thomas Frank’s goalscoring woes and provide support to Solanke. As such, they are now interested in signing a striker from Brazil.
According to a report from Brazilian outlet Radio Tupi, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque. Palmeiras will be ready to open talks for the striker from around €50m in the summer.
Acquired by Barcelona in 2024 for a substantial fee following a prolific spell at Athletico Paranaense, Vitor Roque struggled to adapt in Catalonia. His poor performances and lack of minutes led to a loan at Real Betis, and by early 2025, he had returned to Brazil to join Palmeiras. The 20-year-old has restored his reputation as a clinical young striker with 20 goals in 44 appearances for Palmeiras last season – 19 G/A in Brazilian Serie A.
Now, the Brazilian is a wanted man again in Europe, with Premier League trio Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United vying for his signature in the summer. Contracted until December 2029, Palmeiras find themselves in a healthy negotiating position and do not have any urgency to sell Vitor Roque. Unless any suitor from the Premier League tests their resolve with a major bid, the expectation is that the youngster stays with the Brazilian club now.

Should Tottenham test Palmeiras’ resolve for Vitor Roque now?
Tottenham’s need for a striker is urgent. Thomas Frank is easing Solanke back into the XI after several months out. Kolo Muani is only currently on loan, meaning he’d leave Spurs later this year, while Richarlison remains injury-prone. As a result, fresh energy up top is certainly required.
Vitor Roque, in that regard, would not be a bad shout. Given his high potential, the South American slots into the north London outfit’s transfer strategy of signing highly acclaimed young players. With his pace, directness and instinctive ability in the box, he’d be a good option to bring off the bench initially as the 20-year-old adapts to the rigours of Premier League football.
Also, with Richarlison out of contract next year, Spurs may view Vitor Roque as a potential replacement for the Brazilian and look to develop him. That said, however, it will be interesting to see whether the club bosses will take a gamble on Vitor Roque after his failed Barcelona stint.
