Avdija (back) will not play on Monday against the Celtics, but is slated to suit up on Tuesday in Washington.
Deni Avdija (back) won't play in the Portland Trail Blazers' Monday matchup in Boston against the Celtics.

Yet, according to interim coach Tiago Splitter, the franchise star will suit up on the second night of the team's back-to-back road trip against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday.
Per Splitter, they are giving Avdija an extra rest for precautionary purposes (h/t Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland).
Avdija notably left prematurely in the team's victory over the Miami Heat last week due to another lower-back strain. He already missed the Blazers' 110-98 Friday loss against the Toronto Raptors.
The emerging star endured back issues earlier this month that kept him out of Portland's lineup for a handful of games.
With Avdija out, Sidy Cissoko and Rayan Rupert are set to play more for the Blazers against the Celtics.
