Per Chris Fedor of Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cavs are optimistic to their current group once fully healthy and won't commit potential significant deals.
"To this point, Cavs decision-makers have made it clear they aren’t interested in a drastic shake-up," Fedor wrote. "They still think highly of this group and see a pathway back to the top of the wide-open Eastern Conference."
The Cavaliers made noise last season by clinching the best regular-season record in the Eastern Conference with 64 wins.
This season, things were slightly rocky for them due to injuries and inconsistencies. They are currently 28-20 and in the No. 4 spot of the East ladder.
Darous Garland has missed a significant portion of this season due to his toe issues. Sam Merrill was also absent for over 20 games as he recovered from a hand injury, while Max Strus is yet to make his season debut because of his ongoing offseason foot surgery recovery.
With the East being wide open this year to reach the NBA Finals, the Cavs have the right to be confident about to their current core behind franchise superstar Donovan Mitchell. And should they came up short again, they can finally pull the trigger once the offseason hits the calendar.
