PROVO, Utah — As No. 13 BYU basketball hosted the No. 1 Arizona Wildcats on Monday, a handful of notable local figures were in attendance to see the action.
Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth owner Ryan Smith, Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy, and a group of Utah Jazz players were all sitting courtside at the Marriott Center.
Lauri Markkanen, Keyonte George, Kevin Love, and Isaiah Collier were all spotted by the hardwood.
While most of the players either had to dog in the fight or opted to side with the local crowd, former All-Star and NBA Most Improved Player Lauri Markkanen was in enemy territory.
Markkanen attended the University of Arizona in the 2016-17 season before being selected with the seventh overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.

People in the Jazz organization are usually pretty active in the local sports scene, attending Mammoth games, college football, and now college basketball.
The Cougars entered the conference game with a 17-2 record, while the Wildcats hold a perfect 20-0 mark.
BYU trailed by 13 points at the half despite 15 from expected top pick in the upcoming NBA draft, AJ Dybantsa. Brayden Burries led the way for Arizone with 19 poitns in the half.
