The Heat are reportedly eyeing smaller-scale deals to strengthen their assets for Giannis Antetokounmpo and other potential future star hunting.
As one of the most anticipated teams heading to the February trade deadline, the Miami Heat are reportedly aiming to stack up assets in preparation of a potential big-time pursuit in the near future.

Per Yahoo! Sports' Kelly Iko, the Heat are looking for minimal trade that will help them build a robust package for star hunting.
"Outside of the Morant/Miami connection reported here two weeks ago, the Heat are thought to be seeking smaller-scale deals that would further fortify their asset war chest, positioning them for Antetokounmpo or a similar-scale superstar if and when they become available," he wrote.
The Heat have Terry Rozier's expiring $26M contract as their main trade asset. They also have maintained their draft chest intact, holding seven future first-round picks and two future second-round picks.
Miami is strongly positioned to shake things up across the market, and the league can only anticipate their emergence from the looming major trade fronts.
This season, the Heat are holding a 25-22 record and just 2.5 games away from the East's fifth seed.
