It feels like every night, Alperen Sengun shows the entire NBA that his game continues to improve.
At this point, the Houston Rockets center is pretty much a superstar.
On Monday night, Sengun showed it again, and he tied Hakeem Olajuwon in the record books in the process.
First, Sengun's stats from Monday night's win over the Memphis Grizzlies:
33 points
9 rebounds
6 assists
1 steal
15-17 FG
3-4 FT

The key to the night is that absurd 15-for-17 shooting from the floor.
That ties a record for a Rockets center in a game with that many shots.
Only Olajuwon has ever gone 15-of-17 in a Rockets uniform like this before, according to Real Sports.

Sengun entered the night shooting 50.8% from the field, so this certainly raised that. Part of the problem is that his 3-point shooting has been a bit rough this year, but he only shot one of those on Monday (and missed), so he could just feast inside.
The six assists are the norm, too, just a tad below his season average (6.4).
Sengun is clearly special, and still just 23 years old, there's so much more of a brilliant NBA career to go.
